Sources from Logar province confirmed that two women were brutally murdered in the latest continuation of women killings across various provinces of the country. Sources confirmed to media on Saturday, November 8, that this incident occurred last night in the Omarabad area of Logar province center.
According to sources, two men first rendered unconscious a 60-year-old woman and a 12-year-old girl, then brutally killed them with an axe. After killing the victims, these individuals stole 200,000 Afghanis and 4,000 US dollars from the house and fled the scene.
Taliban group officials also confirmed the occurrence of this incident and added that the group has arrested two people on charges of murdering the women, and they have confessed to their crime. Since the Taliban’s takeover, the rate of criminal offenses including mysterious and targeted killings, armed robberies, and kidnappings has increased in various parts of the country.
