Sources in Badakhshan report that at least 800 homes in Chogani village of Shahrbuzurg district in this province have been completely or partially destroyed.
Sources told media on Monday, November 3rd, that the earthquake in this village had started two days earlier with several aftershocks.
Village residents add that these earthquakes have damaged most of the houses.
Residents of Chogani village have expressed concern about the destruction of their homes on the eve of winter and have called for urgent assistance. According to these residents, people have spent several hours outside in the cold weather.
Meanwhile, local Taliban officials in Shahrbuzurg district have confirmed the destruction of about 800 houses in Chogani village.
This comes as last night’s earthquake in Balkh and Samangan provinces left about 20 dead and more than 360 injured.
