Local sources in Takhar province reported that the son of a Taliban commander opened fire on civilians in Warsaj district, injuring six people.
The incident occurred on Sunday, November 2, 2025, in Sang Ab village in the Qunduz area of Warsaj.
Jamaher, son of local Taliban commander Darab Bai, along with Qiyam his brother-in-law, first beat several locals during a dispute over a pasture. Jamaher then resorted to weapons and injured six people by gunfire.
The wounded were transferred to Takhar hospital, with three in critical condition.
Qiyam, the Taliban commander’s brother-in-law, has been arrested, but Jamaher and his men remain in the area, threatening residents not to file complaints. The Taliban group has not commented on this incident so far.
