Afghanistan’s national futsal team suffered a 4-0 defeat against Morocco in their third and final match of the Islamic Solidarity Games.
In the first half, Moroccan players scored twice, taking a 2-0 lead into halftime.
The Afghan players couldn’t capitalize on their opportunities in the second half and conceded two more goals, resulting in a final 4-0 loss to their opponents.
Afghanistan had shown impressive performance in their previous two matches, first defeating Tajikistan 9-5 and then achieving a 2-2 draw against Iran.
With this victory, Morocco advanced to the next round as group leaders with 7 points The competition is being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the semi-finals scheduled for Sunday, November 9th.
