Mohammad Naeem Wardak, Deputy Minister for Financial and Administrative Affairs of the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry, has called Pakistan’s behavior during the deportation of Afghan migrants inappropriate and inhumane.
In a meeting with Andrika Ratwatte, Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, he described these actions as contrary to human, Islamic, and neighborly values.
Wardak called on the international community to respond to Pakistan’s actions.
Following the escalation of border clashes between Pakistan and the Taliban group, Pakistan has intensified the deportation process of Afghan migrants. Over the past year, Pakistan and Iran have intensified the forced deportation of Afghan migrants.
Observers say the harsh tone of the Taliban Foreign Ministry’s deputy regarding Pakistan has political motivations and is linked to recent tensions between the Taliban and Pakistan.
The UN World Food Programme in Afghanistan reported that over two and a half million migrants have been deported from Iran and Pakistan during the current year.
