Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in telephone conversations with his Turkish and Saudi Arabian counterparts, described the ongoing tensions between Pakistan and the Taliban as concerning and emphasized resolving these tensions through dialogue.

He stressed the importance of expanding consultations to maintain regional peace and stability while appreciating efforts made to reduce tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Interior Minister claimed that suicide attacks in Islamabad and Wana were organized from Afghan soil and the attackers were Afghan citizens.

Mohsin Naqvi stated that their findings show both attackers were Afghan nationals and these attacks were orchestrated from Afghanistan.

Pakistan’s intelligence ministry also claimed that the attack on the military academy in South Waziristan was planned from Afghan territory, with Afghan citizen attackers using American weapons.

These tensions continue as dialogue between the two sides has failed, with Pakistan demanding written commitments from the Taliban to prevent cross-border attacks.
