Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Taliban group, announced in an interview with the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting that American unmanned aircraft continue to patrol Afghanistan’s airspace.
He called this action a clear violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty and emphasized that despite more than two years passing since the Taliban group’s return to power, American drone flights continue.
Mujahid added that these drones enter Afghanistan through neighboring countries’ airspace and called such operations contrary to international laws and customs.
He once again asked the United States to stop such interventions and said the Taliban group considers this situation unacceptable.
The Taliban group spokesman stated that the Islamic Emirate is pursuing this matter through diplomatic channels and demands an end to unauthorized and uncoordinated flights over Afghanistan.
He called these actions a continuation of violating Afghanistan’s territorial integrity and airspace independence.
