The World Health Organization announced the completion of the second phase of the measles vaccination campaign in 17 Afghan provinces. During this 10-day campaign starting October 29, over 8.3 million children aged 6 months to 10 years received vaccinations.
The campaign achieved 91.7% coverage of more than 9 million target children. Additionally, nearly 4 million children aged one day to 10 years in six southern and southeastern provinces also received oral polio vaccines.
