Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, former president, stated in his latest note that the country is at one of its most sensitive historical stages and Pakistan’s military aggression has deepened the existing crisis.

He emphasized that Afghanistan stands at the crossroads of two paths: falling deeper into crisis or creating national consensus.

Ghani identified the forced deportation of millions of migrants, earthquake devastations, and Pakistan’s attacks as factors making the situation more sensitive.

He said the right to peace must be returned to Afghans as people have been deprived of this right for 47 years.

The former president warned that in the next two years, Afghanistan will either move toward reconstruction or fall into a deeper crisis valley.

He considered national unity and fresh consensus as the way out and said he is ready to play a role if people desire it.
