The Taliban announced that Pakistan deported at least 10,019 Afghan migrants on Wednesday, November 19th.
The Taliban’s High Commission for Refugee Affairs stated that these migrants were returned to the country through Torkham and Spin Boldak border crossings
This figure represents the latest wave of Afghan migrant deportations from Pakistan.
Previously, Pakistan had also forcibly expelled thousands of Afghan migrants from its territory
Migrants deported from Pakistan typically enter Afghanistan through the Torkham border crossing in Nangarhar province and Spin Boldak crossing in Kandahar province.
The Taliban has established temporary camps at these crossings to accommodate the returnees.
