Pakistan Army spokesperson Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry declared that his country makes no distinction between terrorists, stating, “the only good terrorist is a dead terrorist.” He accused the Taliban group of supporting Al-Qaeda, Uyghurs, and TTP, warning that any country arming the Taliban is effectively arming terrorism. Chaudhry added that by sheltering terrorist groups, the Taliban have endangered regional security.

He emphasized that Pakistan’s issue is with the Taliban group, not the Afghan people, and that the group does not represent Afghans. Chaudhry also highlighted the difficulty of border control and the lack of effective governance on the Afghan side, noting that leftover US military equipment in Afghanistan poses a threat to the region.

The army spokesperson rejected the Taliban’s claim that TTP members are “guests,” stating these individuals enter Pakistan armed. He linked the closure of border crossings to security concerns, stressing that trade and bloodshed cannot coexist.
