Bollywood star Preity Zinta has won her high-profile tax dispute in India.
After the tax department flagged large unexplained bank transactions, a ₹10-crore addition was made to her tax assessment.
However, the Mumbai Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) ruled that the reopening of her case was not properly justified and sent the matter back for correct review.
The case dated back to 2016, when Preity filed as a non-resident with an income of ₹46 lakh. Following her appeal, previous tax orders were overturned for a fresh examination.
On November 17, 2025, Preity Zinta finally won the case, with her legal team confirming the victory.
