Maulana Tahir Ashrafi, head of Pakistan’s Council of Scholars, recently alleged that the Taliban’s current policy towards Pakistan differs from previous leaders and that the group now stands with India against its “brother” Pakistan.

He stated that, unlike former leaders like Mullah Omar, the Taliban are now cooperating with India, creating new challenges for Pakistan.

Ashrafi claimed that in the past, Mullah Omar refused to join India against Pakistan, but the Taliban’s approach has changed. This policy shift, according to Ashrafi, is causing concern among Pakistani officials.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani army has recently gathered clerics in Islamabad to issue a fatwa against the ongoing conflict. This move comes as tensions between Pakistan and the Taliban escalate.
