Nada Mohammad Nadim, Taliban’s Minister of Higher Education, will travel to Tehran on Saturday, December 6, at the invitation of Iranian officials.

The spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry of Higher Education stated the visit aims to develop scientific relations between the two countries.

During this trip, Nadim is expected to visit several Iranian universities and meet academic officials.

This visit occurs amid Taliban’s ban on girls attending universities in Afghanistan.

The visit has sparked broad reactions and concerns about the state of women’s education in Afghanistan.
