According to local sources, a man in Aqcha district of Jowzjan province shot and killed his sister.
The incident occurred within the Taliban’s fifth security zone, and the Taliban have confirmed it.
Sources say the motive was related to “honor issues.” This news comes amid rising domestic violence and killings of women in several Afghan provinces.
Similar cases of women being killed by family members have been reported previously in other districts.
