The UN Secretary-General’s quarterly report on Afghanistan states that UNAMA recorded six cases of extrajudicial killings of former Afghan security forces.
Additionally, 24 of these individuals were arbitrarily detained, and at least six cases of torture and ill-treatment were reported.
During the same period, the Taliban group flogged 215 people—including 42 women—on charges such as adultery, running away from home, sodomy, alcohol consumption, and gambling.
The report also documents around 160 grave violations of children’s rights, including killings, maiming, denial of humanitarian aid, and attacks on schools and hospitals.
In September, the Taliban removed 51 subjects, including human rights and civic values, from school curricula.
