A new assessment by the Foundation for Defense of Democracies claims that US and Israeli airstrikes during the “12-Day War” have inflicted severe damage on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Experts state that while Tehran’s nuclear program has not been completely destroyed, significant obstacles have been created in the supply chain and weaponization process.

According to the report, prior to the June attacks, Iran was months away from nuclear breakout capability, possessing enough enriched uranium for multiple warheads.

However, the strikes have reportedly destroyed key infrastructure and the pathway to weapons-grade plutonium.

The assessment also notes that beyond physical destruction, the elimination of nuclear scientists and administrative centers has paralyzed Tehran’s pursuit of a nuclear bomb, potentially reshaping Middle East security dynamics in 2025 .
