Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has announced a delay in the release of his grandson Agastya Nanda’s upcoming movie, “Ikkis”.
Originally set for Christmas, the film will now hit theaters on January 1, 2026, to start the new year.
While many speculated the move was to avoid a box office clash with other big releases, Bachchan clarified that the decision was based on astrology.
He stated that astrologers advised the new date would bring better luck for the project.
“Ikkis” tells the heroic story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal and marks Agastya’s first theatrical release.
The film also features veteran actor Dharmendra and aims to reintroduce the young actor to audiences after his digital debut.
