A grand celebration of Yalda night was held in Tajikistan with extensive participation from Afghan compatriots.
Major General Mohammad Zahir Aghbar, the Afghan ambassador and political representative in Tajikistan, emphasized that Yalda symbolizes resistance, patience, solidarity, and hope, reminding that ignorance, oppression, and tyranny will not endure.
Culture and art, alongside the active and conscious participation of women and men, stand as a clear response to extremism and the anti-cultural policies of the Taliban group. Former Energy and Water Minister Ali Ahmad Othmani and poet Rahmatullah Bijanpur enriched the event with speeches and poetry.
Due to internet disruptions, some registered political and cultural figures from various countries could not join the program. The event concluded with a concert by Afghan and Tajik artists in an atmosphere full of hope and unity.
