Former Vice President Amrullah Saleh has strongly condemned the assassination of General Ekramuddin Khan in Tehran.
He offered his condolences to the General’s family and the anti-Taliban resistance, calling the attack a significant loss for the freedom fighters of Afghanistan.
Saleh explicitly pointed fingers at the Taliban group, stating that such targeted killings align perfectly with their history and policies.
He emphasized that the Afghan public firmly believes the Taliban are responsible for this crime committed on foreign soil.
He urged Iranian authorities to utilize their security capabilities to identify and prosecute the perpetrators immediately.
General Ekramuddin was a close aide to Saleh and a brave military figure who served in the Vice Presidency during the final months of the Republic.
