On Monday, a Quran recitation ceremony was held at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Tajikistan to honor the memory of General Ekramuddin Sari and Commander Mohammad Amin Almas, who were recently assassinated. The event gathered Afghan citizens, political and social figures, and prayers were offered for the souls of all Afghan martyrs.
During the ceremony, Major General Mohammad Zahir Aghbar spoke about the character of Gen. Sari and Commander Almas, stressing that the path chosen by the Taliban group leads Afghanistan and the region toward greater instability and violence. He noted that since their emergence, the Taliban have committed hundreds of targeted killings and systematic oppression, posing a serious threat to neighboring countries and the region.
At the end of the event, participants prayed for the Afghan martyrs and emphasized the need to continue civic and awareness efforts for peace, justice, and freedom in Afghanistan. They warned that the Taliban even fear the voices of Afghans abroad, and terrorist networks linked to the group remain active.
