Fatemeh Mohajerani, spokesperson for the Pezeshkian administration, confirmed the resignation of Mojtaba Sanaei, the Vice President for Political Affairs.
She noted that the resignation was submitted some time ago but is only now being addressed.
Iranian media reported that Sanaei had requested to step down multiple times.
This resignation comes amidst increasing pressure on the government.
Previously, other senior figures like Javad Zarif also departed from Pezeshkian’s government.
These cabinet changes highlight internal challenges within Iran’s new administration.
