The Ministry of Energy and Water has announced the completion of a vital water canal project in the Charkh district of Logar.

Funded by the FAO at a cost of $143,000, the infrastructure is now operational.

The “Kahshan” canal and dam project is designed to irrigate approximately 600 hectares of agricultural land.

This development is expected to directly benefit around 2,000 local families dependent on farming.

This initiative follows similar developmental efforts in the region to improve water management.

Recently, another canal project was also successfully inaugurated in Parwan province to support the agricultural sector.
