Pakistan’s Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar, has lashed out at the growing diplomatic engagement between the Taliban and India. Citing recent visits by three Taliban ministers to New Delhi, Tarar questioned the nature of their cooperation, asking what “extensive consultations” were necessary between the two.
In a heated press conference, Tarar accused the Taliban of allowing Afghan soil to be used for attacks against Pakistan, funded by “foreign designs.” He directly confronted the Taliban’s ideology, asking, “What kind of Islam is this where you take money from India to carry out explosions here?”
The accusations come as Pakistan faces a surge in militant violence, with over 5,000 terror incidents reported in 2025. While Islamabad views India and the Taliban as collaborators in destabilizing the region, both Kabul and New Delhi have consistently denied these allegations.
