India has delivered a significant consignment of medical aid to Afghanistan, consisting of 18 types of anti-cancer drugs.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Public Health confirmed the arrival of the shipment, which weighs over 7,500 kilograms and contains 776 cartons of essential medicines.
This humanitarian gesture aims to support cancer patients who have been struggling with severe shortages of medical supplies in the country.
India continues to be a key donor in the healthcare sector, providing lifelines to vulnerable Afghans during the ongoing crisis.
Health officials in Kabul expressed gratitude for the timely support. The influx of these specialized drugs is expected to alleviate the suffering of many patients in public hospitals who previously had no access to affordable treatment.
