In reality, the family was grappling with the stress of a premature birth, and the civic body BMC later fully cleared the couple of any wrongdoing following an inquiry.
Sharma recalled SRK’s dignified silence during the controversy, quoting him as saying, “Let’s wait for the right time and let’s see the limits.” Despite the eventual vindication, Sharma noted with regret that the journalists responsible for the false reports never offered an apology.
