The Taliban’s Ministry of Defense announced that its air forces have targeted several key military centers in Pakistan today. A statement released by the ministry claims strikes were conducted on the Nur Khan base in Rawalpindi and the 12th Corps in Quetta, Balochistan.
The ministry asserted that these operations were “effective” and caused significant damage, serving as retaliation for Pakistani air aggression over Kabul and Bagram. The statement warned that any further violations of Afghan airspace would be met with severe reactions.
Additionally, the Taliban claimed to have hit the Khoizo camp in Mohmand Agency and military posts in Ghalanai. While independent verification is pending, the announcement marks a major escalation in rhetoric and alleged military engagement between the neighbors.
