The Breshna power company, operating under the Taliban administration, announced that the 220kV transmission line between Naib Abad and Pol-e-Khomri was cut due to heavy rain and storms. The disruption occurred in the Tangi Tashkurghan area.
As a result of the outage, electricity was cut to the provinces of Kabul, Parwan, Panjshir, Kapisa, Logar, Paktia, Khost, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Laghman, and Nangarhar, affecting millions of Afghan residents.
Breshna stated that technical teams have been dispatched to the area and are working to restore power as quickly as possible.
