Ahmad Khatami, Tehran's Friday Imam, said at the Quds Day ceremony that for peace and tranquility to be established, Israel must be eliminated and no trace of it should remain. He added that as long as the US and Israel exist, humanity will not see peace.
Khatami emphasized that Iran's fighters will eliminate these criminals. These statements were made while regional tensions have reached their peak.
The Tehran Friday Imam's statements represent the official position of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards Israel and the US.
