The spokesperson for the Taliban government has announced that at least sixty-one individuals died in recent natural disasters. These alarming statistics, based on data from the Afghan Red Crescent Society, highlight the sheer scale of the tragedy nationwide.
Zabihullah Mujahid stated in a published message that one hundred and sixteen other people were severely injured in these events. He also confirmed that four individuals are still missing, and intense search operations are ongoing in the highly affected areas.
According to reports, these devastating floods have completely or partially destroyed over two thousand residential houses. Furthermore, thousands of acres of agricultural land have been ruined, and more than a thousand livestock perished, bringing immense financial ruin to farmers.
