The Pakistani military has announced the elimination of twenty-two members of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan during an intelligence-based security operation in the Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Tragically, a ten-year-old child was also killed in the crossfire during the heavy clashes.
According to the military's statement, security forces successfully seized a significant cache of weapons and ammunition from the militant group. The official press release referred to the slain fighters as foreign-backed elements, reaffirming the government's commitment to dismantling these networks.
A relentless anti-terrorism clearance campaign, dubbed Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, is currently underway in the region. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces have experienced severe violence, with hundreds of people killed and injured in numerous deadly militant attacks over the past year.
