The Afghan national powerlifting team shined at the Belarus championship by winning six medals, including four golds.
The team consisted of six athletes and one coach who competed against various international opponents across different age groups. The tournament took place from May 6 to May 10.
The powerlifting federation noted that athletes finally got this opportunity after facing international restrictions last year. Meanwhile, women remain banned from sports.
