The organization supporting free media in Afghanistan, known as NAI in exile, called on international bodies to negotiate with Taliban government officials to release detained journalists.
Expressing deep concern, the organization stated that arresting media workers has unfortunately become a daily routine for the Taliban government. Just in recent days, three more journalists were unlawfully arrested.
According to published statistics, at least seven prominent journalists are currently languishing in prisons. NAI strongly emphasized that the international community must not turn a blind eye to this critical issue.
