Local sources in Badakhshan province have reported that a young man tragically drowned in the fast-flowing waters of the Kokcha River. This heartbreaking incident took place late Friday afternoon in the Targani area of Faizabad city.
Friends of the victim revealed that his name was Faisal and he was originally a resident of the capital city. He had traveled to Badakhshan province to work in one of the local mines before meeting this unfortunate fate.
According to the latest reports, the young man's body has not yet been recovered from the river. Search efforts by locals are still actively ongoing, while Taliban government officials have not yet commented on the tragic drowning incident.
