Local sources in Herat province have reported that armed robbers violently stormed a major commercial center in the city, looting significant amounts of cash and goods. The armed individuals initially tied up the security guard and completely destroyed all surveillance cameras.
According to the received information, these bold thieves spent several hours inside the Khwaja Mohammad Taki commercial center executing their calculated robbery. They successfully escaped with a substantial amount of cash and valuable assets from at least eight separate wholesale shops.
This brazen incident occurred despite the commercial hub being located extremely close to the Taliban government police headquarters. This specific market serves as one of the most crucial food supply centers for the entire western region of Afghanistan.
