The Ministry of Refugees under the Taliban government has reported that Pakistan deported over 4,200 Afghan migrants in just a single day. These massive deportations included both forced expulsions and voluntary returns of Afghan citizens.

According to the ministry's official statement, simultaneously, more than 350 other Afghan migrants were expelled from neighboring Iran. Most of these individuals were forcefully deported and re-entered Afghanistan through major border crossings such as Spin Boldak, Silk Bridge, and Islam Qala.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) recently highlighted this growing crisis in its latest biweekly report. The organization documented that between late April and early May, more than 114,000 Afghans returned from Iran and Pakistan, comprising tens of thousands of vulnerable families, including women and children.
