The recent report emphasizes that pregnant women are enduring even greater dangers. They are forced to cope with severe hunger, ongoing displacement, and a lack of proper medical care amidst border clashes between the Taliban government and Pakistan.
For instance, a thirty year old woman named Najiba had to flee with her newborn baby after delivering at an Afghan Red Crescent clinic. These ongoing border conflicts and airstrikes have displaced over one hundred thousand people in the region.
