The Speen Ghar cricket team clinched the championship title of Afghanistan's first division tournament by defeating the Amu team. The final match took place on Thursday in Nangarhar province, where Speen Ghar secured an impressive 84-run victory to lift the trophy.
Batting first, Speen Ghar posted a strong total of 277 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their 50 overs. Captain Darwish Rasooli scored a brilliant 101 runs, while Ismat Alam contributed 100 runs. For Amu, Gulbadin Naib delivered an excellent bowling performance by taking five wickets.
In response, the Amu team struggled and was bowled out for 193 runs in the 38th over. This domestic cricket tournament plays a crucial role in identifying promising players for the national and A teams of Afghanistan.
