Natural disaster management officials of the Taliban government in Baghlan province have announced that recent powerful floods have completely destroyed at least fifty residential houses. These sudden flash floods have caused immense financial losses and tremendous hardship for the local residents.
Hedayatullah Hamdard, a local official in Baghlan, stated that alongside the ruined houses, hundreds of acres of valuable agricultural land were seriously damaged. Thirty houses were severely destroyed in the Dushi district, while another twenty collapsed in the Dand-e-Ghori area.
Since the beginning of the current solar year, multiple provinces across Afghanistan have witnessed exceptionally heavy rainfall and deadly floods. These tragic natural disasters have caused numerous casualties and significant financial damage, further worsening the already dire humanitarian situation in the country.
