German police authorities have reported a tragic shooting at a mother and child center in northern Germany, which left six people dead. The devastating incident was carried out by a 45-year-old man on Monday afternoon following a suspected dispute.
According to official reports, the primary motive for the horrific attack appeared to be a severe disagreement regarding the upbringing of his child. The attacker had a scheduled appointment at the facility, which is located in Stade, near the port city of Hamburg, right before opening fire.
All six victims of the attack, consisting of four women and two men, were dedicated employees working at the center. German officials have confirmed that the attacker's three-month-old daughter and the child's mother were unharmed and remain in safe condition.
