Afghan athletes secured an impressive third place overall in the sixteenth edition of the South Asian Bodybuilding Championship. The national team showcased exceptional talent, bringing home a total of ten medals and earning a well deserved spot on the podium among the participating nations.
During these thrilling regional competitions, the representatives from Afghanistan successfully claimed one gold medal and three bronze medals. Additionally, two Afghan bodybuilders finished in fourth place, while two others secured third place finishes in their respective highly competitive weight categories.
Afghanistan participated in this major sporting event with a dedicated squad of eighteen athletes, competing against participants from eight different countries. The championship took place from late June to early July, highlighting the remarkable growth and dedication to bodybuilding among Afghan youth.
