Turkish police have announced the successful arrest and detention of twenty undocumented Afghan refugees within the city of Bolu. These individuals were quickly identified and detained during routine security checkpoints conducted across various parts of the city.
Following the completion of necessary administrative procedures, the detained individuals were directly transferred to the migration department for immediate deportation. In recent months, the Turkish government has significantly accelerated the complex process of identifying and expelling illegal immigrants.
Official statistics reveal that nearly twenty thousand Afghan migrants have been forcefully detained in Turkey during the first six months alone. Afghans continuously account for the highest total number of detainees among all foreign asylum seekers there.
