The governor's office in Panjshir province has announced that over six thousand carats of newly extracted emeralds have been successfully sold. These precious stones, valued at more than fourteen million Afghanis, were sold to local businessmen through a public bidding process.
The provincial spokesperson explained that these highly valuable gems were extracted from the mines of the Hesarak-e-Awal district over the past two weeks. The ongoing extraction and sale of natural resources by the Taliban government have become a regular economic activity.
It is reported that the Taliban government receives exactly ten percent of the revenue generated from these emerald sales. In addition to emeralds, Panjshir province possesses rich mines of gold and rubies, which are being actively extracted by contracted companies.
