More bodies of Afghan migrants who went missing while trying to reach Iran have been discovered in the Gard Lalou area of Chaharburgak district in Nimroz province. Videos show nearly ten bodies, though the exact number remains unclear. The victims were part of a group of 19 people attempting to cross into Iran through an unofficial route.

Sources say the individuals died from extreme heat and dehydration. Some bodies were found buried under layers of sand and dust. Earlier, five other bodies had already been recovered from the same desert area.

The discovery site is approximately 63 kilometers from the Milak border crossing between Afghanistan and Iran. The UN High Commissioner for Refugees said the tragedy highlights the deadly cost of dangerous and irregular migration journeys.
