The Afghan United Front announced it killed a Taliban intelligence member in the Qaysar district of Faryab province, releasing a video as evidence. The group stated that oppression and aggression against Afghans will not go unanswered.
The front, led by former Afghan army commander Sami Sadat, declared on Saturday, August 2, that it had launched military operations against Taliban and other terrorist groups across Afghanistan. Since then, it has claimed several operations in Badghis, Helmand, and Kandahar provinces.
Taliban officials have not yet commented on the incident. The operations suggest the United Front is actively expanding its military footprint across northern and southern Afghanistan.
