Pakistani police announced that three Afghan nationals were killed and one wounded in an attack by unidentified gunmen in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.
The attack occurred on Tuesday evening, August 18, 2026, in the Hazarganji Cross area. Four Afghan nationals from Dalbandin in Chagai district had arrived in Quetta when two gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on them. Two were killed on the spot, and a third died after being taken to hospital.
The motive remains unclear and police have launched an investigation. The incident followed the killing of a former Afghan military officer in Quetta on Sunday.
