Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir, meeting with Balochistan's political leaders, said the country's security is inseparable from Balochistan's stability. He described militants as foreign-backed proxy forces used to destabilize the province and create a wedge between the government and the people.
Munir stressed that destructive efforts will fail against the collective will of the people and the government's decisive response. He urged Balochistan's leaders to stand against hostile propaganda and highlight the province's capabilities and progress.
The security situation in Balochistan has sharply deteriorated in recent months. Official figures show casualties in the province reached 372 in July, a significant rise from 109 in June.
