The death toll from devastating floods in Nepal and China has risen to 768, with 3,048 others still missing. Nepal's disaster ministry confirmed that 752 people have died in the country, while 16 were killed in Tibet, China.

The floods began on Wednesday when a glacier collapsed in Tibet, unleashing a massive torrent of mud, rocks, and ice through Himalayan mountain rivers, destroying villages, power plants, roads, and bridges on the route between Kathmandu and Lhasa.

The Nepali government has begun burying victims after collecting DNA samples and has requested international support, including over 1,000 freezer units to preserve remains for identification.
