The Taliban economic deputy prime minister's office announced the signing of an oil exploration and extraction contract for the Kushk-Tirpul field with Saudi company Delta International.
The deal was signed in Kabul today in the presence of Abdul Ghani Baradar and Zalmay Khalilzad. The Saudi firm will invest 200 million dollars in the first phase.
The Kushk-Tirpul oil field is located between Herat and Badghis provinces and covers approximately 22,000 square kilometers.
