Pakistan s Foreign Ministry said it is reviewing visa extension requests from Afghan students including those in medical fields. This comes after the Pakistan Medical Council asked Afghan students to leave the country.
Afghan students especially women say returning home means losing their chance to continue university studies. Some universities in Punjab have started implementing the expulsion orders for Afghan students.
The Taliban embassy in Islamabad called the decision forced expulsion and urged Pakistani authorities to protect the students educational rights.
